Excerpt from QMUNITY Letter of support for QUIRK-E
They are a shining example of what it means to be respected elders within our community. This
group brings a rich tapestry of experience, and shares all they have with a wide audience. I
recently had the pleasure of attending a GSA meeting where the students were talking excitedly
about when QUIRK-E came to their school. Through outreach, community connections, art and
activism this group not only supports seniors, but builds intergenerational support for
2SLGBTQIA+ folks.
This group is a pillar in our community, Their written content, community care, and ongoing
group sessions show their commitment to leadership and engagement and I wholeheartedly
believe they should be the recipients of this prestigious award.
With gratitude,
Alex Ash (Programs and Engagement Manager, QMUNITY)
