The twenty-six members of the Queer Imaging and Riting Kollective for Elders (Quirk-e) write and image their experiences as old(er) queers in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is their fifth anthology. It was published in 2010 and is their first book to include visual work on DVD.
Wayson Choy, author of The Jade Peony, says:
“I have almost died twice. How can I urge you to take a chance to explore your life fully? First, read these writers – they show you how to start, how it’s done.
Every brave voice deserves a hearing. If you have ever felt you have been targeted as the other, ever felt abandoned, mocked for being different, here are individual voices that may connect with you.”
