Launched! The Hunt on the Tundra

After seeing bear tracks, 24-year-old city girl Dana survives a night alone on the tundra. With this story, Lorri Rudland captured the attention of all 65 folks attending. She was reading from The Hunt on the Tundra at her Book Launch on April 26 at Trout Lake Community Centre. We also got to problem-solve along with Dana when wild predators spooked her pack horse. The horse breaks loose and spills her crucial food supplies all over the gorge.

People are eager to read The Hunt on the Tundra and line up to congratulate Lorri.

A spirited Q & A followed Lorri’s reading with questions about the self-publishing process, crafting fiction inspired by real-life events, and how to consider feedback from those who read the work in progress. Lorri thanked a large number of individuals who supported the lengthy development of her first novel. In particular she acknowledged the members of QUIRK-E’s Fiction Group, Farren Gillespie, Sheila Gilhooly, Janie Cawley and Marsha Ablowitz, for their weekly feedback and encouragement.
