QUIRK-E and Chris Morrissey were among those honoured at QMUNITY Seniors Pride in Progress lunch at the beautiful Sylvia Hotel on October 30, 2025. QUIRK-E received a digital portrait honouring our founder Chris Morrissey for her efforts for justice, community, and compassion. In addition River Glen, Garth McIver, and Cyndia Cole shared stories and a poem, which are soon to be published in our upcoming zine. As a room full of elders who have worked hard for progress in recognizing our human rights, we applauded the honourees, QMUNITY Seniors, and the delicious food. Most of all, we determined to never go backwards on our hard won freedoms.
