Come to the Roundhouse Community Centre early to find a seat, listen to some selected music, and prepare for our ceremony to honour Chris Morrissey.

Selected speakers will give their tributes to Chris Morrissey during the formal portion of our gathering.

Reception to follow
Join us for light refreshments and a chance to connect with others to share your stories and memories of Chris. There will be music, photos, some of Chris’ work, and spaces for small group discussion…
This Celebration of Life is being organized by Rainbow Refugee and Quirk-E, in collaboration with Foundation of Hope, friends and chosen family of Chris Morrissey.

Chris Morrissey dedicated formidable energy to organizing sponsorships of LGBTQI refugees. She saw and was deeply concerned with the additional barriers faced by women, and Trans or Gender Diverse refugees. She requested that a substantial portion of her estate, and any funds donated to Chris Morrissey’s Legacy Fund be used to support organizing sponsorships for refugees facing these additional barriers:
