Connect and socialize with other members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as you enjoy length swimming, socializing, playing and relaxing in the pool – just like regular public swim sessions!
Advance registration is not required but will speed your entry. We expect that there will be space for drop-in visits.
Event rates are set to match Outdoor Swimming Pool fees. Flexipass, 10-visit passes, and LAP can be used for online registration, please bring your OneCard to scan at the pool.
Participants
This swim session is for children, teens, adults and seniors, who are Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bi/Pan, Trans, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Agender + other orientation and gender identities within the 2SLGBQIA+ umbrella.
Anyone who self-identifies as a member of that broad category can register, along with any support people they may need present to feel comfortable while participating.
Children 7 years and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian (16 years or older) who is in the water and within arm’s reach of the children at all times.

If you want to register in advance but do not have a OneCard or credit card, select “On Site Payment” and use code “site” for 100% discount online. You will need to pay the full admission price when you arrive at the pool.
We encourage advance registration for all of our programs so we can contact you in the event that a session must be cancelled.

Why was this swim created?
Folk who belong to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, particularly those who are 2STGD, may experience exclusion, discrimination and harassment in their everyday lives, just for being who they are. Swimming pools have been highlighted as a space where folks within these communities have been subjected to harassment and discrimination.
Each one of our Recreation centres should be a safe and inclusive space for anyone to enjoy. By promoting dedicated 2SLGBTQIA+ and 2STGD swim sessions, we’re working to break down barriers, encourage health and fitness in all communities and support people from all backgrounds and identities in recreating comfortably in a safe, inclusive and stigma-free space.
