Younger folks told us they are eager to learn stories from the elders in QUIRK-E. Over 350 people visited our booth at Surrey Pride 2025 on Saturday June 28 at the festival on the Surrey Civic Plaza. We had fun handing out slap bracelets, puzzle cubes and everything unicorn and rainbows at the joyous event. Colourfully-dressed 2SLGBQT+ folks of all ages, plus parents, allies, supporters and friends stopped to talk, spin to win, and to share a smile. Many of them acknowledged that they can be out and proud now based on the victories won by the older generations of queer activists. Many expressed their wish to subscribe to our website for free so that they will be notified of new creative works and upcoming events.
