Farren Gillespie was raised on a dairy farm in Ontario. He lived in Calgary, Alberta for seven years before he came to Vancouver. He worked for over three decades supporting and advocating for people with developmental challenges. After retirement he used his time and skills as a board member for a large community centre.
Farren’s lifelong desire to write has become realized with his membership in Quirk-e, surrounded by fellow creative enthusiasts. He and his partner of 21 years are stewards of their property in East Vancouver, where they enjoy the gardening seasons with their rescue dog. Farren is actively involved as a settler descendant in exploring and advocating for Indigenous reconciliation.
